February Studio News

Happy February Gotta Dance friends and families! 

Lots of things are happening around Gotta Dance in the coming months, we have a few upcoming master classes, are starting to work on our summer recital, and our competition team is in full swing (and did amazing at our first two competitions of the season by the way).

Upcoming Master Classes

We have two master classes scheduled this month.  First, is our monthly master class with the incredibly talented Krista Barker. Krista will be here on Thursday, March 7th. Check out our Master Class page for more information on Krista and how to register for her class.

Next up is a Ballet Master class with Joe Nugent.  Joe will be at GDC on Saturday, February 16th, you aren't going to want to miss this class guys! Classes are $20 cash at the door, no pre-registration required.

Upcoming Studio Closures

Recital

Gotta Dance will be closed on Monday, February 18th in observance of President's Day

We will also be closed the week of March 18th for Spring Break. A full list of studio closures is available on our Studio Policies page.

Our summer recital will be in June, please keep an eye out for more information that will be sent out soon.  You can find information about recital costumes on our Studio Policies page. Dates, times, location, and more will be sent out very soon.

Competition Team Update

We are so incredibly proud of each and every one of our competitive dancers. You all blew us away on stage over the last two weekend.  We will be working hard to make our dances even better over the next month, so please be sure that you are in all of your performance hours.

We are working on a list of dances that we will be taking to LADM in April. Please note that we are only allowed to bring 40 dances total, and we have 108 dances (including solos/duos/trios) so everyone will not be able to compete at LADM. As soon as we have finalized our list, we will be sending it out to everyone, deadlines for payments will be two weeks after the list has been distributed. For those dancers that are new to competing, LADM is a convention/competition. All dancers will be required to attend convention, even if they are not competing over the weekend.
